Stand with Ukraine

The Weserburg Museum für moderne Kunst supports the work of the Bremen-based association “Herz für die Ukraine e.V.”. This organization is committed to medical and humanitarian aid in Ukraine and supports refugees in the Bremen/Hanover area, among other things, in dealing with authorities, finding housing, and interpreting.

Thank you for your support!
Free admission for refugees
Free admission for refugees (on presentation of green identity papers for “Duldung” (exceptional leave to remain) / “Aufenthaltsgestattung” (temporary residence permit); for refugees from Ukraine, the Ukrainian passport or identity card counts as proof).
Free piano lessons for refugees
The musician Alexandra Wenger teaches children and young people who have fled from Ukraine how to play the piano at the Hans Otte. Klanghaus at the Weserburg Museum für moderne Kunst in piano playing. For many refugees it is currently not possible to make music, as they often have neither premises nor musical instruments at their disposal. Therefore, we are especially pleased to be able to make this offer to young people.
Our special thanks go to Sparkasse Bremen AG for providing the grand piano.
Donation Box
Those who prefer to donate the money in person rather than by bank transfer are very welcome to do so on site at the Weserburg. A donation box is available for this purpose in the museum’s cashier area. All proceeds will go to the association “Herz für Ukraine e.V.”.
