Junges Blut. Touch me

Cooperation and exhibition project

12.03.2022 - 17.04.2022

Photos touch us. We touch photos – nowadays, the next picture is just a swipe of the finger away. But just as quickly, it disappears again in the flood of media images. How can the fleeting, digital moment be captured? What alternative forms and materials can a photo take? What does an image even feel like?

Inspired by contemporary photographic art from the collections of the Weserburg, a group of students from the Kunstschule Wandsbek is developing their own photographic approaches with exciting, sometimes very personal approaches: Photographs as large-format prints, as precious one-offs, as objects that may be touched, or even in booklet form for browsing and discovery. Be it intimate insights or haptic experiences, the smooth surface of the touchscreen is contrasted here with other possibilities of experience, other forms of encounters, exchange and touch. Here as there, the motto is: Touch me!
