KlangTräume

Music, noise and sound experience in the kek kindermuseum

08.09.2019 - 01.03.2020

Try it out, experiment playfully, change it and help shape it! In the interactive exhibition KlangTräume you can reinvent the history of the Bremen Town Musicians, hop melodies, feel the volume, compose timbres, get to know the pitch in the ship in a bottle, listen to your own voice for 100 m, set different rhythms on the large music box, hear your heartbeat very loud, play with your voice.

On the occasion of the 200th birthday of the Bremen Town Musicians, the kek Kindermuseum, together with the Bremen sound artist Ricardo Castagnola, will be giving the four famous adventurers a performance full of sound. At a specially designed hands-on station, visitors can retell the story of the town musicians. The exhibition will also be complemented by exciting stations by akki e.V. (action and culture with children), at which elementary characteristics of sound such as volume, pitch, timbre and rhythm can be explored.

There will be an extensive accompanying programme with guided tours and activities!
