Paul Heimbach

Cabinet exhibition at the Center for Artists’ Publications

Paul Heimbach created an extensive oeuvre of artists’ books and edition objects. Beginning with early experimental approaches in the 1960s, later phases saw the creation of mathematically and calendar-based groups of works in which he developed his own unique visual language through the precise use of color. Thanks to the generous support of Peter Foedisch, a representative selection of Paul Heimbach’s published works can be found at the Center for Artists’ Publications and will be shown in this cabinet exhibition. Paul Heimbach died in 2013. He would have turned 70 in December 2016.
