Nullpunkt aller Orte - Sammlung Dominic und Cordula Sohst-Brennenstuhl

In this exhibition, a young private collection from Hamburg is presented to a wider public for the first time. The works are by artists who belong primarily to the same generation as the collector couple themselves. Dominic and Cordula Sohst-Brennenstuhl attach great importance to this consensus. What the two are able to discover in art relates to their own thinking, their own perceptions, questions and insights.

Künstlerräume

Fifteen artists' rooms have been set up on the second floor of the Weserburg, which is largely laid out in a labyrinthine fashion. The positions assigned to the rooms stand for themselves and for the respective artistic oeuvre, but are also able to correspond with each other in the sense of a contrasting program. Painting, sculpture, photography, video, and text works are presented, inviting visitors to take a varied tour.

Komm und sieh - Sammlung von Kelterborn

The second exhibition in the series "Young Collections" presents works from the private collection of Kelterborn in Frankfurt. The focus of this extraordinary collection is on socially relevant, philosophically profound and politically explosive works by internationally renowned artists. The von Kelterborn collectors are convinced that art enables us to make "the present" comprehensible in its complexity, its contradictions and cruelties, but also in its thoroughly positive potential, and indeed to experience it through the senses and the mind. She is particularly interested in photographic and video works.

Künstlerräume

Werke aus den Sammlungen

15 rooms. 15 artistic worlds. The Weserburg once again presents highly diverse artists' spaces in an exciting sequence. The exhibition provides insight into the diversity and quality of artistic production today, which are impressively reflected in the Weserburg's collections. The artists self-confidently put their works and concepts up for debate. It is precisely in the differences, contradictions, and confrontations that come to light in the process that the Weserburg's artists' spaces respond to the complexity of today's experience of the world.
